These are our field Grown Thuja Plicate hedging conifers, also know as Western Red Cedar.
These are one of the best sellers for creating a dense strong hedge for privacy and wind breaks, also can be used for drainage purposes.
These have a copper/red tint to the edges and give a nice smell, a nice alternative to the standard conifer,
These are fully hardy conifers.
Once these conifers have made root in the soil you can expect them to grow 2/3ft per year.
We would advise planting these every 2ft (60cms) to give you a good hedge.
We advise using a support canes & ties for the first 12 months until the conifers have made root in the soil.
We would advise to give the best possible start to you new hedge using Merediths Plant food, which is a slow release food and RHS Rootgrow™ Gel to help the conifers make better root in the soil.
These conifers are supplied bare root in bags, and will need to be signed for.
