The box your plants come in can be recycled and the straw can be used for you compost

bin.

We advise you to remove your plants from the box as soon as possible and store out of

the wind and direct sun.

If you are unable to plant your purchases within a day or two, just keep the roots damp.

Planting instructions for hedging:

1. Prepare the ground by removing all the weeds where you plan to plant your new

hedge

2. Start by digging holes about 10” square and 10” deep

3. Place the plant in the hole making sure the roots are spread out

4. Fill the hole in with the soil removed or new compost

5. Heel in the tree (press down the soil with your foot)

6. If you have purchased canes push the cane into the ground about 1” from the

tree

7. You only need to support half way up the tree

8. Use the tree tie to support the tree, but do not over tighten them

9. Water in well, and watch your new hedge grow.

10. Make sure the newly planted trees do not dry out.
