These are our Horse Chestnut - Aesculus Hippocastanum - 60-90cms
Growing freely from conkers in the UK and abundantly planted in 1616, but confined in the wild to mountains in north Greece/Albania.
Offer called and referred to as a conker Tree!
These are fully hardy field Grown Broadleaves.
Once these Broadleaves have made root in the soil you can expect them to grow an average of 2ft per year.
We would advise planting these every 2ft (60cms) to give you a good hedge.
We advise using a support cane & ties for the first 12 months until the broadleaves have made root in the soil.
We would advise to give the best possible start to use Merediths Plant food, which is a slow release food, and RHS Rootgrow™ Gel to help the broadleaves make better root in the soil.
These broadleaves are supplied bare root in bags, and will need to be signed for.
